This week we will focus on the comprehension strategy of visualization! This strategy teaches the children to "Make a picture in their brains." We'll use the Story In the Tall Tall Grass by Densie Flemming. After reading the story the children will be asked to draw a picture of what they believe is in the tall, tall grass,
For Accuracy this week we will focus on the strategy of : Skip the Word and Go Back. When children come to a word that is difficult one strategy to use is to skip the word and read to the end of the sentence using the other words to help them get the "Tricky" word. This is a powerful strategy that children find very helpful!
